Happy Birthday Kelly!!!

Happy Birthday to my favorite cousin Kelly! We have had the tremendous good fortune of growing up together. I have so many fond memories of you and your family. Remember when our standard fare consisted of Cheetos (crunchy of course) and Dr. Pepper? So much fun!

I remember when we first met (I think) when your family came to visit my family in Parlin (a small town outside Gunnison). We had to have been about 3 or 4. My mom told me for weeks (it seemed like weeks anyway) that I was going to meet my cousin Kelly from Virginia. I think from that moment on I wanted to be just like you.

My dear cousin Kel, you are a beautiful person.
Your daughters are so lucky to have you for a mom. Even though we are far apart I always keep you close in my heart. Have a wonderful birthday!

You and Kelly are sisters without sibling rivalry.
It's nice to grow up near extended family, and sad when everybody moves away to start his or her own grown-up life.
We're so proud of all of you, but we miss those cute little kids.
Your birthday is just around the corner. Let's see . . . you'll be 29 for the 3rd time or the 4th time?

Thanks, Heather! I remember that trip. I met you for the first time, Jim bit me, and I refused to drink milk straight out of a cow's udder. Good times! Can it really have been so long ago?

I suppose it was about 28-29 years ago. Wow!

I don't understand how that trip to visit you could have been 28 or 29 years ago when I just turned 23. You need to check your math, Heather!

I think I remember posing for that Christmas picture. Again, it's hard to believe it was so long ago.

My math must be just a bit off. I should edit that. Sometime.

Don't worry Kelly, i wouldn't drink the milk straight out of the cow either. I am so pleased you two were such good friends. Jim's biting was a problem. I remember wanting someone to bite him back. Happy belated birthday Kel. You are an amazing woman with lots of unacknowledged bravery.(it's acknowledged by everyone BUT you) I love you and want to see those girls soon. Hopefully Thanksgiving?
