Part IV

On Wednesday (I think) we started out by visiting Liverpool, home of the Beatles. We had a fabulous tour of Liverpool complete with a stop at Penny Lane. Our guide, Phil, was hilarious. After we all got pictures of the street sign we cruised Penny Lane in the bus with "Penny Lane" playing over the sound system. It was so cool. We visited the original site of the Cavern where the Beatles first played together.

After the great Beatles tour we visited the Anglican Cathedral-no picture right now.

Here is a picture of the Albert Dock sign. This is where most of our ancestors who left for the US came from.

We stopped at the Wedgwood factory. We have a great aunt who worked here. I did take pictures of the golfing trophies for my brother. They were very pretty.

We had a quick 2 hour excursion into Wales where the signs are all in Gaelic and English. Don't ask me how to pronounce it.

And finally we have the Cheddar Gorge, famous home of Cheddar Cheese. (Imagine Wallace-like enthusiasm for cheese) This particular gorge had some natural caves that produced the perfect environment for cheddar cheese development. YUM!

Stay tuned for Scotland, Caimbridge, York and Diagon Alley!

Your Aunt Joan would have loved Penny Lane. Your mom and aunt loved the Beetles. I liked them but I was into Joan Boaz and the folk mucis at the time.

I STILL love the Beatles. I listen to them on my IPod all the time. I gave "Uncle Richard" "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" for Father's Day.
BTW. With all the scarey news in London right now, I'm really glad you're home.
