I think the draw for me is that I can now hold a sports-oriented conversation with people. It has given another way to connect with my friends and family who do watch sports. Although they are mainly football fans, which I just can't get into.
I teach middle school band and choir and conduct a community chamber ensemble. I travel a lot in order to see my friends and family scattered around the country.

Wow -- you've only been blogging for a few days and already you're live blogging! You went straight to the advanced class.
Sorry about your Avs. I never have gotten into hockey -- I'm just not much of a sports fan (which is downright blasphemous when you live in Chiago).
