Boulder in Early Spring

Saturday we drove to Boulder Creek. It was a little on the cool side still. As you can see the sky was an amazing blue and the pine trees were very green. The waterfall was really fun. There are two benches set up for people to sit on. We took the bench a further away from the waterfall itself. Below us, on a large rock near the creek, there was a couple that just got engaged. We witnessed the presentation of the ring and everything. It was cool. On the bench near the waterfall was a middle-aged couple "spooning." It was very cute.

After taking a walk on the Boulder Creek Path and visiting the waterfall, we decided to head over to Pearl Street for dinner. We actually found a parking spot! BD's Mongolian BBQ was our choice for healthy cuisine. After dinner we walked around Pearl Street, saw a drum circle and several street musicians. We had to stop at Ben & Jerry's for a little ice cream on the way back to our car. Jack got his ultimate fav Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, while I opted for Butter Pecan. By the way, it was Prom night in Boulder. We saw some pretty amazing dresses. I wondered if one girl in particular would be able to sit down to eat dinner. Her dress was really short.

We are definitely doing this again soon!

Beatiful pictures. Nothing like a Colorado rushing stream with a water fall to make you so alive.

Sounds wonderful.
We camped at Island Acres and cooked hamburgers out on the grill. It was too cold to sit by the campfire at night, but it was cool enough during the day for long walks by the river.
I love spring time in the Rockies.

I'm so jealous! There's nothing like that anywhere near Chicago, one of my few complaints with this fair city. We need to visit Colorado more often.

I agree! We even have two bedrooms in our house that go virtually unused most of the time. We need visitors!

Ah, to have two virtually unused bedrooms -- I dream of such a thing.
