International Day of Peace
Today, September 21, has been declared "International Peace Day" by the UN. Here is a link to the website. There is great info about how Afganistan is marking the day. I find it interesting that Afganistan is noting the day yet we hear almost nothing about it in the US. I didn't know about it until I heard a story on NPR last week. Why are we so isolated from the rest of the world?
