The Countdown

Only 5 days of school left!
The past few weeks have been incredibly stressful. The end of the year is hard because there are a ton of activities and concerts to plan. I am trying to keep up with as much as possible. Of course, this blog went right out the window. Here's the update:
This month Jack and I will have had a combined 12 performances for various groups, 4 Field Trips, and we have Jack's wonderful family coming to visit for Memorial Day weekend. Jack has finished graduate classes for the semester and is trying to decide what to take over the summer.

Overall it is a fun time of year, but it's also a little sad. We both eagerly look forward to the summer, but we also take this time to reflect on the past year. I guess one of the most difficult things right now is saying goodbye to kids who are moving on. These kids have been a part of my life for three years. Jack will miss his school, students, and the friends he has made over the past 9 years. There will be some grieving, but only after a lengthy summer nap.
